Welcome to Wild Church Portland
Wild Church Portland, Oregon is an eco-spiritual community rooted in the Christ tradition and guided by the Celtic seasonal calendar. We gather outdoors to reconnect with God, the Earth, and one another, learning from the Divine presence that moves through all creation.
We believe in two sacred texts:
- The Sacred Text of Scripture, and
- The Sacred Text of the Earth: the wind, water, trees, and creatures that reveal God’s wisdom in their own language.
Our gatherings weave together prayer, poetry, silence, and wisdom from many traditions, creating space to listen for the voice of the Divine within and around us. This isn’t a church service taken outside; it’s a spiritual community without walls, where creation is not a backdrop but a participant in our worship. We do not have traditional leaders or hierarchy. While there is a guide who helps facilitate and organize the flow of the gathering, everyone is encouraged to participate, share, and contribute in ways that feel meaningful. Together we create an egalitarian and inclusive space, where all voices are valued and the Spirit can move freely among us.
Wild Church is for anyone longing for a deeper connection to the Sacred, whether you’ve been part of a church, left one behind, or never found a place that fits. We are inclusive, non-denominational, and connected with the Wild Church Network.
